The Traub Swiss automatics TNL 26 is based on the sleeve turning principle. Unlike the case when machining unsupported chuck work on short and turret-type automatic turning machines, the bar of material on this machine not only rotates but also executes the longitudinal feed movement. The bar is mounted in a guide bush just behind the turning tools and is pushed through the guide bush as it is machined. Twelve tools can be installed per turret. BT430
